Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

What is beauty? Well, the literal meaning of beauty is a combination of qualities, such as shape, colour, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight. There is a proverb in English:- "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". It means, beauty cannot be judged objectively, for what one person finds beautiful or admirable may not appeal to another.

 Basically, beauty is very subjective. The saying is used to express the fact that not all people have the same opinions about what is attractive. Everyone has different ways of viewing and analyzing things. Lets take a situation. The starry night painting by Vincent Van Gogh is considered beautiful by most of the people around the world, including myself. However, there are some people that doesn't considered this painting as a beautiful masterpiece of art. And why is that? Those 'some' people have different perspective of viewing than the majority. As I said before, different people have different way of perceiving beauty and that cant be seen as wrong. Everyone has their own rights.

Other than that, do you guys know Cara Delevingne? She's one of the famous supermodel in US. She is acknowledge as one of the most beautiful model. Guess what? I doubt that. Hahahaha. I would say that Taylor Swift is way more beautiful than Cara Delevingne. I'm not wrong and the people who said Cara is beautiful is also not wrong. It depends on each people and its a freedom of choice.

    I think I am one of the people who would not consider the painting as a beautiful masterpiece of art 😅 It looks like a normal painting to me.

    I suppose the 2 women you suggested are beautiful.. but I think some women become beautiful due to make up and fame.. sometimes..;) Natural beauties are rare, don't you think? My daughter thinks I should wear make up. Would that make me more beautiful? :D
